Legal Terms
Welcome to Maison Améla. By accessing or using our website, services, and products, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully, as they are designed to protect both you as a valued client and our brand’s integrity.
1. Eligibility & Age Restriction
At Maison Améla, the protection of our clients, as well as the integrity of our brand, is of paramount importance. For this reason, access to our website, products, and related services is reserved exclusively for individuals who have reached the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction, which in Sweden and throughout the European Union is 18 years of age.
By engaging with our website, you expressly represent and warrant that you are at least eighteen (18) years old. If you are under the age of 18, you may not create an account, place an order, or provide us with personal information without the explicit consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Any such consent must be verifiable and in accordance with applicable data protection and consumer laws.
Maison Améla does not knowingly solicit, collect, or retain information from minors. Should we become aware that personal data has been provided by an individual under the age of 18 without appropriate parental authorization, we reserve the right to immediately delete such data, cancel any associated orders, and, where necessary, restrict further access.
We emphasize that the age requirement is not a mere formality but a legal and ethical safeguard. Luxury jewelry, as offered by Maison Améla, involves contractual obligations, financial transactions, and responsibilities that require legal capacity to enter into binding agreements. This standard ensures that every interaction with our brand is grounded in legitimacy, transparency, and respect for the law.
Furthermore, by accessing our services, you acknowledge and agree that Maison Améla may, at its sole discretion, request proof of age and identity at any point during the customer relationship. This measure, which may involve presenting a valid government-issued identification document, is designed to protect both our valued clients and the Maison Améla brand from misuse, fraud, or unauthorized transactions.
In summary, only clients who are 18 years of age or older, or those who can demonstrate verifiable parental/legal guardian consent, are permitted to use our services. Any breach of this requirement will constitute a material violation of these Legal Terms and may result in immediate termination of access, cancellation of orders, and, where appropriate, referral to relevant authorities.
2. Contractual Agreement
When you place an order with Maison Améla, you are not simply making a purchase — you are entering into a formal and legally binding contract that governs the relationship between you as the client and Maison Améla as the provider of exclusive luxury goods.
This contractual relationship is established in accordance with Swedish law and the applicable directives of the European Union, ensuring that both parties enjoy the highest level of consumer protection and legal certainty. By confirming your order through our website, you acknowledge that you have carefully read, understood, and accepted these Legal Terms, and that they shall apply to all transactions conducted with our House.
The contract begins the moment Maison Améla issues an Order Confirmation via email, which constitutes our acceptance of your purchase. Until that point, the act of adding products to your cart or submitting payment details is deemed an offer to purchase and may be declined, modified, or cancelled by us at our sole discretion. This safeguard ensures that Maison Améla retains the right to withhold acceptance in cases of suspected fraud, inaccurate pricing, or any circumstances that may compromise the integrity of our brand or the security of our clients.
Every contractual agreement is entered into on the basis of good faith, transparency, and mutual respect. Maison Améla is committed to delivering products that reflect the standards of craftsmanship and excellence associated with our name, while you, as our client, undertake to provide accurate and truthful information, timely payments, and compliance with our policies.
Should disputes arise, the contractual framework outlined herein will serve as the guiding principle in resolving such matters, always under the jurisdiction of Swedish courts and in accordance with mandatory EU consumer rights.
3. Product Information & Availability
At Maison Améla, we take exceptional care to ensure that every description, photograph, and specification presented on our website reflects the true essence of our jewelry. Details such as the type of metal, the quality of plating, stone settings, weight, and dimensions are provided with the utmost accuracy and transparency.
However, it must be acknowledged that certain variations are both natural and inevitable. Handcrafted luxury pieces may exhibit subtle differences, making each creation unique and unrepeatable. Colors may vary slightly due to natural variations in raw materials, the effect of lighting during photography, or the calibration of your digital screen. Such nuances are not considered defects but rather hallmarks of authenticity and artisanal craftsmanship.
Product availability is also subject to change without prior notice. Maison Améla operates on the principle of limited production and exclusivity, which means that certain collections or pieces may be offered only for a restricted time or in limited quantities. While we strive to maintain real-time accuracy on our website, there may be rare occasions where an item displayed as available is no longer in stock at the moment your order is processed. In such cases, Maison Améla reserves the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund, or to propose an alternative solution if appropriate.
We expressly disclaim liability for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in product descriptions beyond our control, though every effort is made to prevent such occurrences. By purchasing from Maison Améla, you accept and acknowledge that luxury jewelry, by its very nature, may possess individual distinctions that enhance its value and authenticity.
4. Pricing & Currency
All prices displayed on the Maison Améla website are expressed in Swedish Krona (SEK) unless another currency is explicitly indicated. Prices may include or exclude applicable taxes depending on your location and the relevant legal framework. Please note that the final price payable may vary due to currency conversion rates, banking fees, or charges imposed by your chosen payment provider.
Maison Améla reserves the right to adjust, modify, or correct prices at any time, with or without prior notice. This includes, but is not limited to, corrections for typographical errors, system malfunctions, or supplier adjustments. In the rare event that a pricing error is identified after an order has been placed, we will contact you immediately to provide the correct price. You will then have the option to either proceed with the order at the revised price or cancel it for a full refund.
We emphasize that pricing adjustments reflect not only fluctuations in the global market for precious materials but also the exclusivity of our limited collections. The value of Maison Améla jewelry lies not only in material composition but also in the craftsmanship, artistry, and legacy that each piece embodies.
5. Payment Methods
Maison Améla offers a range of secure payment options, which may include major credit and debit cards, trusted third-party platforms such as PayPal, and regionally specific solutions such as Klarna or Swish where available. The availability of certain methods may vary depending on your location.
All payments must be authorized at the point of purchase. Orders will not be processed until authorization is confirmed. If a payment fails, is declined, or is identified as suspicious, Maison Améla reserves the right to cancel the order, restrict future transactions, or request additional verification before proceeding.
Fraudulent transactions are taken extremely seriously. Any attempt to misuse payment systems will result in immediate cancellation of the order and may be reported to relevant financial institutions, payment providers, and law enforcement authorities. We also retain the right to collaborate with anti-fraud networks to ensure the continued safety of our clients and our brand.
All transactions are encrypted and handled through secure gateways to safeguard your financial data. Maison Améla does not store complete payment information on its servers.
6. Order Confirmation
Upon successful submission of your order and payment authorization, you will receive an Order Acknowledgment Email confirming receipt of your request. Please note that this acknowledgment does not yet constitute acceptance of your order. It is an initial confirmation that we have received the details of your purchase.
Acceptance of your order and thereby the formation of a legally binding contract occurs only once your jewelry has been carefully prepared, packaged, and dispatched. At that time, you will receive a Dispatch Confirmation Email containing shipping details and tracking information.
Maison Améla reserves the right to decline any order at its sole discretion. Reasons for refusal may include stock unavailability, suspected fraudulent activity, incorrect pricing, or failure to meet our eligibility requirements. Should your order be declined, any pre-authorized payments will be released or refunded in full.
7. Shipping & Delivery
Maison Améla offers both domestic and international delivery services, partnering exclusively with reputable courier providers to ensure reliability and discretion.
-
Domestic Deliveries (Sweden): Estimated delivery time is typically 2–5 business days from the date of dispatch.
-
International Deliveries: Estimated delivery time is typically 5–12 business days, though this may vary depending on destination, customs procedures, or unforeseen logistical issues.
All delivery times provided are approximate and should be viewed as indicative rather than guaranteed. Maison Améla is committed to timely fulfillment, but delays may arise due to customs inspections, courier disruptions, weather conditions, or global events beyond our control.
In exceptional cases, such as seasonal peaks or unforeseen circumstances, delivery may exceed the stated timeframes. We advise clients to place orders well in advance of special occasions to avoid disappointment.
8. Shipping Responsibility
Every Maison Améla order is meticulously packaged to preserve the safety, integrity, and presentation of your jewelry. Parcels are sealed and prepared with protective materials designed to withstand normal handling during transit.
Once a parcel has been handed over to the designated courier, Maison Améla’s responsibility for the physical condition, delivery timing, or potential loss of the package is limited. At that point, the liability shifts to the carrier. While we will support you in liaising with the courier in the event of an issue, Maison Améla cannot be held directly responsible for courier delays, misroutes, or damages caused during transit.
For clients who desire the highest level of assurance, we strongly recommend selecting insured delivery options where available. Insured shipping provides additional security and recourse in the rare event of loss or damage during transportation.
It remains the responsibility of the client to provide a complete and accurate delivery address. Maison Améla is not liable for failed deliveries resulting from incorrect, incomplete, or misleading information provided at checkout.
9. Risk of Loss
All purchases from Maison Améla are subject to what is known as a shipment contract. This means that the legal responsibility for the goods transfers from Maison Améla to you, the client, once the parcel has been delivered to the custody of the shipping carrier. From that moment, the carrier assumes liability for the safe and timely delivery of your jewelry.
Maison Améla meticulously prepares, seals, and protects every package to minimize the possibility of damage or interference during transit. However, the unpredictable nature of transportation, particularly in international shipments, means that risks such as delays, misrouting, or accidental damage may arise. While Maison Améla will always assist you in communicating with the courier and will provide documentation to support claims, the ultimate responsibility rests with the courier service once the parcel leaves our possession.
We strongly advise clients to select shipping options that include insurance where available. Insured shipments provide peace of mind and financial protection in the unlikely event of loss or damage during transit. Maison Améla shall not be held liable for any damage, loss, or delay beyond our direct control once the parcel is in the custody of the carrier.
10. Return Policy
At Maison Améla, we stand behind the quality and artistry of every piece we create. Nevertheless, we recognize that there may be circumstances where a return is requested.
Customers are entitled to return eligible products within 14 days of receiving their order, in accordance with European Union consumer rights. This right applies only if the product remains:
-
Unworn and unused.
-
In its original condition, with all security seals intact.
-
Accompanied by all original packaging, including jewelry boxes, dust bags, tags, and certificates.
Please note: For hygiene and safety reasons, earrings and piercing jewelry cannot be returned under any circumstances. In addition, any items that have been custom-made, resized, engraved, or otherwise personalized are strictly non-returnable.
Failure to comply with these conditions may result in the rejection of your return.
11. Return Process
To initiate a return, you must follow these steps carefully:
-
Contact our Client Care team via email at info.maisonamela@gmail.com, stating your order number, your full name, and the item(s) you wish to return.
-
Once your request has been reviewed and approved, Maison Améla will issue you a Return Authorization and provide a prepaid return shipping label via email. Unauthorized returns or those sent without authorization may not be accepted.
-
Securely repack the item(s) in their original packaging, ensuring that all protective layers, jewelry boxes, dust bags, and security seals remain intact.
-
Attach the provided shipping label and dispatch the parcel using the designated courier service. Returns must be shipped within 7 calendar days of receiving your authorization and always within the 14-day withdrawal period.
Maison Améla reserves the right to refuse any return that does not comply with the above requirements.
12. Refunds
Refunds are issued only once the returned item has passed our quality inspection. Upon receipt, each piece is examined to confirm that it is unused, undamaged, and accompanied by its original packaging and security seals.
If approved, the refund will be processed to the original payment method used for purchase. No alternative refund methods (such as cash or transfer to a different account) will be offered.
Refund processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider, but typically refunds are completed within 5–10 business days from the date of approval. In exceptional cases, such as international transactions, it may take up to 30 days for the refund to appear in your account.
Please note that original shipping costs, return shipping costs, and any associated duties or customs fees are non-refundable.
13. Exchanges
Maison Améla does not currently offer direct exchanges. This policy ensures the highest standard of quality control and prevents errors in processing. Should you wish to receive a different item, size, or color, you must first return the original purchase (in accordance with our Return Policy) and then place a new order through our website.
This process guarantees that all products dispatched from Maison Améla remain subject to the same rigorous inspection, packaging, and security protocols that define our luxury standards.
14. Prohibited Uses
When engaging with Maison Améla’s website, services, and products, you agree to do so with integrity, legality, and respect. The following list, though not exhaustive, sets forth specific activities that are strictly prohibited:

We reserve the right to enforce our intellectual property rights vigorously to the fullest extent permitted by law, including seeking injunctive relief and damages.
By accessing our website, you agree that nothing in these Terms grants you any license or right to use our intellectual property without explicit written authorization.
16. Accuracy of Information
Maison Améla endeavors to provide information that is accurate, reliable, and up to date. All product descriptions, materials, measurements, and images are carefully prepared to reflect reality as closely as possible.
However, occasional errors, omissions, or delays in updating information may occur. Examples include:
-
Technical or typographical mistakes in pricing or specifications.
-
Slight variations in product appearance due to lighting, digital screens, or artisanal craftsmanship.
-
Outdated content resulting from changes in availability or production timelines.
Such variations or errors do not constitute misrepresentation but are inherent to the nature of artisanal luxury goods and dynamic digital platforms. We expressly disclaim liability for decisions made solely in reliance on the website’s information without verification.
We encourage clients to contact our Client Care team for clarifications before making purchasing decisions, ensuring transparency and confidence in every transaction.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maison Améla shall not be held liable for:
-
Indirect or Consequential Damages – including but not limited to loss of profits, emotional distress, reputational harm, or business interruption resulting from the use or inability to use our website, products, or services.
-
Events Beyond Our Control – such as courier delays, customs inspections, or global events (natural disasters, strikes, pandemics).
-
Client Misuse – including damage caused by neglecting jewelry care instructions, exposure to chemicals, or unauthorized alterations.
Our total liability, under any circumstance, shall not exceed the amount paid by the client for the specific product that gave rise to the claim.
This clause ensures a fair balance between our responsibility as a luxury brand and the reasonable assumption of responsibility by clients for the proper use and care of their jewelry.
18. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Maison Améla, its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, and partners from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising out of or connected with:

Your breach of these Legal Terms.
-
Your violation of any applicable laws or third-party rights.
-
Misuse of Maison Améla’s products, services, or intellectual property.
-
Unauthorized access to or interference with our systems or data.
This indemnification extends to third-party claims and government investigations. It ensures that Maison Améla, as a luxury house committed to artistry and service, remains protected from risks arising from unlawful, negligent, or unethical conduct by users.
19. Third-Party Links
Our website may, from time to time, include references or links to external websites, platforms, or services that are not operated or controlled by Maison Améla. These third-party links are provided solely for the convenience of our clients, such as payment gateways, courier tracking systems, or curated editorial collaborations.
We wish to emphasize that Maison Améla does not endorse, monitor, or guarantee the content, accuracy, or reliability of any third-party material. Accessing such websites is done entirely at your own discretion and risk. Any interaction you undertake with third parties, including the disclosure of personal data, purchase of goods, or reliance on information provided, is governed by the respective terms and policies of those entities.
Maison Améla disclaims responsibility for any damages, losses, or disputes arising from your engagement with third-party websites. We encourage all clients to carefully review the terms of service, privacy policies, and practices of any external service provider before engaging with them.
20. Privacy & Data Protection
At Maison Améla, safeguarding your personal information is a commitment we uphold with the same care and precision that define our jewelry. All personal data collected through our website, including names, addresses, payment details, and communications, is handled in strict compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Swedish data protection laws.
Our Privacy Policy provides a full account of how data is collected, stored, processed, and, where necessary, shared with trusted service providers (such as payment processors and courier companies). By using our services, you consent to this data handling, which is strictly limited to legitimate business purposes.
Maison Améla maintains robust safeguards including encryption, restricted access protocols, and secure servers to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of your personal information. We will never sell, lease, or trade your data to third parties for commercial gain.

This provision exists to preserve the trust, exclusivity, and security of our clientele, ensuring that Maison Améla remains a safe and dignified environment for all.
22. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Legal Terms, along with all associated agreements and transactions, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden.
In the event of a dispute, both Maison Améla and the client irrevocably agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of Swedish courts, specifically those located within Stockholm, unless otherwise mandated by applicable EU consumer protection regulations.
This ensures that all matters are resolved within a clear legal framework, providing certainty, fairness, and alignment with the high standards of transparency upheld by Maison Améla.
23. Force Majeure
Maison Améla shall not be held liable or deemed to have breached these Terms for delays, failures, or interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Such circumstances include, but are not limited to: natural disasters, floods, fires, earthquakes, pandemics, strikes, governmental actions, wars, acts of terrorism, supply chain interruptions, or failures in communication networks.
During such events, obligations may be suspended for the duration of the disruption. We will, however, make every reasonable effort to mitigate the impact and resume normal service as swiftly as conditions allow.
This clause underscores our commitment to responsibility while recognizing the limitations imposed by extraordinary circumstances.
24. Amendments to Terms
Maison Améla reserves the right to revise, update, or amend these Legal Terms at any time. Amendments take effect immediately upon being posted on our website unless otherwise specified.
We encourage clients to periodically review this page to remain informed of any updates. Continued use of our services after the publication of amendments constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Major changes, particularly those affecting client rights or obligations, will be communicated via email to registered users. Nevertheless, it is the responsibility of each client to stay informed.
